Popular Traders is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer of laboratory equipment and scientific instruments, based in Ambala, Haryana, and serving laboratories since 1942.
We design and build the equipment found in quality-control, research and teaching laboratories, including ovens, incubators, water baths, shakers, rotary evaporators, distillation units, and pharmaceutical and petroleum testing apparatus. Our customers include pharmaceutical, food, dairy, agro, chemical and petroleum companies, as well as government research institutes and universities across India.
Our equipment is manufactured, assembled and tested at our own facility at IGC Saha, Ambala, and it is backed by our in-house service team.
Our Journey Since 1942
In 1942, Sh. Mohan Lal Gupta founded The Scientific Engineering Works at 78 Lytton Road, Lahore.
That workshop grew into Popular Traders. For more than eight decades, the company has kept the founder’s focus on precision, honest pricing and lasting customer relationships. Our work has been seen by many visitors over the years, including Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.
Today we operate from a modern manufacturing facility in Ambala. We combine that heritage with current production methods and quality systems.
